 Q1: What causes traffic lights to not work properly?

A: (1) Traffic light hardware is defective or faulty and cannot display normally, resulting in problems such as traffic lights not lighting up, a single light color displaying for too long, and insufficient brightness of traffic lights. (2) Check whether the wiring method is correct and whether the connectors are loose or in poor contact. (3) Check whether the traffic signal machine is powered on. (4) Voltage mismatch: Voltage that is too high or too low will cause traffic lights to not work properly or be damaged.

 Q2: Can traffic lights use "compound lights"?

A: "Compound lights" refer to lights that display multiple colors of red, yellow, and green lights in the same light unit. The "three geometric positions of red, yellow and green" are not separated as required by the standard. Traffic participants such as color blindness and color weakness cannot distinguish the color of the traffic lights by position, which poses a safety hazard. It is necessary to replace the traffic lights with those that meet the standard and have geometric positions separated.

 Q3: Common types and sizes of traffic lights

A: Traffic lights generally include full-screen lights, direction lights, non-motor vehicle lights and pedestrian lights. The general size specifications are 100mm, 200mm, 300mm and 400mm.

 Q4: How to deal with unreasonable traffic light timing?

A: (1) According to the changes in traffic flow, different signal timing plans should be adopted for the morning peak, daytime flat peak, evening peak, evening flat peak and night valley periods. If necessary, a transition plan from flat peak to peak and a midday peak plan should be added. (2) The cycle length of the traffic light should be reasonable and generally should not exceed 180 seconds. (3) Traffic detection equipment such as coils, videos and geomagnetism should be added to adopt real-time sensing control.

 Q5: How to deal with insufficient Pedestrian Crossing Signal time?

A: (1) Reasonably configure the green light time of the pedestrian crossing signal according to the flow and walking speed of pedestrians crossing the street. The pedestrian walking speed can be calculated as 1.0~1.3 m/s. (2) For intersections that are too wide, pedestrian crossing safety islands can be set up using the vehicle-non-vehicle separation strip or the middle separation strip, and additional pedestrian secondary crossing signal lights can be added according to actual needs.

Q6: The color displayed by the traffic signal is inconsistent with the color of the traffic light (for example, the signal output is green, but the traffic light is red)

A: It may be a wiring error or line failure. Check whether the output terminal in the signal cabinet is connected incorrectly.

Q1: The device screen is not lit

A: It may be caused by the following reasons: power supply problem (such as the power switch is not turned on, the mains power failure, insufficient solar cell power), motherboard failure, voltage mismatch (input voltage is too high or too low) or abnormal radar parameter settings. Solution: Check the power supply circuit to ensure the AC power is working properly or the solar cell is sufficiently charged. Try cycling the power on and off to restart the device. If the device still does not light up after restarting, it may be a problem with the mains or radar. Contact the manufacturer for repair.

Q2: How do I adjust the speed of the radar speed sign?

A: You can use our companion app developed specifically for Android to adjust the speed. Download and install the app, follow the on-screen instructions and user manual to connect the device, and then set and adjust the speed measurement parameters.

Q3: Why can't the radar speed sign detect vehicle speed after installation?

A: The most common reason is that the device is not facing the direction of oncoming traffic. Please ensure that the radar's transmitting surface is facing the direction of oncoming traffic and is within the effective detection angle range. Otherwise, it will affect the normal acquisition of vehicle speed signals.

Q4: How can I troubleshoot insufficient solar power for the radar speed sign?

A: If insufficient power is detected, please check the following possible causes in order:

Obstruction: Is the solar panel blocked by trees, advertising banners, buildings, etc.? During installation, ensure that the panel surface is exposed to direct sunlight at all times, otherwise charging efficiency will be significantly reduced.

Surface Cleaning: Is the panel covered with dust, snow, bird droppings, etc.? If so, wipe it clean with a soft cloth to maintain good light transmission.
